Everyone has had childhood coloring experiences. Some even have favorite crayons and coloring books that they still remember. In today’s age, coloring apps have made life much easier. But why is coloring so crucial during childhood?

Coloring apps like Pick n Color help young kids learn the names of colors.
Practical learning is better that learning by rote and what better way to learn the names of colors and their different shades than coloring apps? No more messy crayons, just a touch is enough.

Pick n Color helps children express themselves creatively.
Even child psychologists accept coloring is a great way for children to express themselves. Young children are encouraged to explore colors and apply them creatively. It also helps them to relate to their surroundings.

Pick n Color is a fun introduction to technology
In today’s scenario, it is never too early to introduce kids to technology and what better way than in the traditionally encouraged format of coloring. Easy navigation and simple themes to complex drawings can be used to let your child take its first steps to mastering the world of technology. This comfort can later help in a largely tech driven world tomorrow.

Concentration and coordination.
Any coloring activity helps with hand eye coordination and improves motor abilities. The child scrolling and touching the colors to the appropriate regions on the sketch helps with control. It is a subtle way of improving skills. Pick n Color is also a fun way of reinforcing concentration, as the levels increase, more concentration and skill is required, teaching the child the virtues of patience and analytical thinking.

There are many more advantages including learning boundaries, understanding seasonal themes and stories, learning the basics of using a phone etc.

So what are you waiting for? Get your child the Pick n Color advantage today.

First things first. “Pick n Color” has been approved by Apple and is now being sold in the App Store! Congratulations to the team for its hard work.

As one of the earliest products that we have launched into the global arena, we are immensely proud of Pick n Color.

It was an ingenious idea to tap into the parents segment of the iPhone users.

Application developers and game developers whose dream it is to have a product listing in the App Store usually target the tween segment.

However, one of our developers came up with a brilliant idea to expand the gaming niche and include iPhone users who are parents.

At first, the idea was met with some resistance. Would parents really warm up to the idea of child development games on the iPhone? How much time do they spend with their child to invest in a game their child may not have complete access to and so on.

Pick n Color was a result of an idea generating meeting that answered these questions and became a forerunner in the line of educational and edutainment apps that we intend to produce, that targeted iPhone users who are parents.

A simple coloring application that allows the child to move between three levels of difficulty (simple, medium and complex), Pick n Color, has the potential to keep your child occupied without you carrying an extra bag filled with coloring books and color pencils.

With 12 pictures distributed evenly across these three levels, the child can choose the picture and color it using a standard palette of 8 colors (more colors coming in the next update). With easy to erase, edit and save options, the young user can store his/her images in your gallery.

The initial success of Pick n Color has galvanised us to move ahead with many more ideas in the young iPhone user segment.

Please register and watch this space closely for more parent and child-friendly iPhone applications!

The PicknColor Team is very excited to share our first testimonial with you -

“My daughter Maya has a new obsession… the pick n color game on my iphone.

I have always had to carry an extra bag filled with colouring books and pencils wherever I went so she can be lost in her little world and I can get something done.

The istore advertised this brand new application called pick n color which was for kids and at the first opportunity to reduce the baggage I carry whenever I stepped out of the house, I grabbed it.
With 12 pictures distributed evenly across 3 levels of complexity (simple, medium and complex), this offers Maya abundant choice.

On days I want her quiet for more than fifteen minutes, I send her to the complex page and she sits there hunched over the phone, tongue sticking out and composing her colours to fill santa claus or that perfect birthday cake.

I wondered what had fascinated her so and I tried my hand at it.

I gotta admit, it’s a bit addictive, like every other game on the iphone. Plus its user-friendly too. Maya knows how to erase and alter the colours on her drawing if she wishes. She saves her art work once she’s done.

And she even goes to the gallery to check out if the yellow goldfish she made on Friday looks prettier than the green one she made a couple of hours ago!

Every night when I send my prayer of thanks up, I always remember to include those who make these iphone kid games!”
